I joined Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation (RAA) team in 1998 as project assistant and shortly after I was involved in writing and coordinating projects. Starting with 2000 I coordinate the fundraising activities of organization.
The first 10 years Adela worked in projects for young people affected by HIV / AIDS. Between 2004 and 2006 she coordinated the programs implemented by RAA with the financing of the Global Fund to Fight HIV / AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Meanwhile, in the period 2003 – 2007, I worked in community development projects addressed to small organizations located in south. Also I was part of the team that set up PACT Foundation (Partnership for Community Action and Transformation). In these projects Adela has counseled and supported numerous courses mainly on topics related to fundraising and organizational development.
Adela initiated in RAA a number of new projects, such as “First Bebe” – an educational project for expectant parents – or the cycling competition “Câmpina Open MTB- Race for autism” which in 2016 reached the 5th edition.
Since 2008 with the beginning of Defeat Autism Together campaign, Adela became one of the promoters of the rights of persons with autism spectrum disorders. In the last 8 years she wrote and coordinated several projects on improving public services for people with ASD and she became interested and involved in advocacy to change policies and legislation for people with disabilities.
Adela is currently development director of RAA and Vice President of the Federation for Rights and Resources for People with autism spectrum disorders.
